Mike Pecsok was named Athlete of the Month, April 2007, for his outstanding efforts as part of the Cal Maritime Men's Golf team.  Pecsok consistently performed well for the team, averaging a score of 75 throughout the season. His best performance came after a round at Palo Alto Municipal Course, when he shot a 71, making him a runner-up to the medalist, who shot a 70.  At Cal Maritime's own invitational at Hiddenbrook, he finished yet another excellent round, scoring a an even par 72.  Pecsok finished his season by being the only CMA golfer to qualify for the regional tournament, and placed 5th in the Cal Pac Conference.  In three rounds of regional play at the Tierra Lago course in Palm Desert, Pecsok put up a solid 75, 80 and 81, in that order.
