Oakland, CA -- The
California Maritime Academy dropped
another heartbreaker Saturday afternoon
at Holy Names University as they were
defeated
64-61 in a battle for 2nd place in
the Cal Pac Conference. CMA (10-9
overall, 5-4 in Cal Pac) shot just 39%
in the second half and squandered away a
nine point halftime lead to the Hawks
(9-11 overall, 7-2 in the Cal Pac).
Tom Kreta led the way for Maritime with
17 points and Praise Odo-boms chipped in
for 13. Former All-Conference
selection Nick Stephens led the Hawks
with 25. Next up
is third place team Dominican University
on Saturday at 3pm, a team that has
rebounded from early season injuries. |
