Vallejo, CA -- No one goes home early when the Keelhaulers play!  Cal Maritime (13-10, 8-5 in the Cal Pac) wrestled with Bethany University on Thursday night, pulling out the victory with a 86-83 win over the Bruins from Scotts Valley.  The Keelhaulers took the lead for good with 28 seconds to play with an acrobatic lay-up by senior captain Tom Kreta to cap off his 21 points on the night.  Great performances by Praise Odo-boms, DJ Wyatt, Mikey Ferguson and JD Stiles as CMA shot 49% from the floor on the night.  Key minutes by Craig Dull and Steve Barrera assisted in the victory.  Jon Bell led the Bruins with 27 points and 18 rebounds.

"That is a very good basketball team we beat tonight.  They have arguably the best starting 5 in the conference.  Our bench gave us valuable minutes when we got in foul trouble and we were fortunate to finish strong tonight", quoted Head Coach Tim Harrison.
