The California Maritime Academy men's basketball team earned their first win of the season tonight with 69-61 triumph over the visiting West Coast Baptist College Eagles.

Maritime opened up a 12 point lead heading into halftime.  However, West Coast Baptist continued to battle led by the hot shooting of Jon Sisson, who scored a game high 22 points.  Maritime received a big boost from John Stiles who was playing his his first game of the season.  The sophomore led the Keelhaulers with 15 points and 8 rebounds.  Senior Cody Gatton also gave Maritime a solid effort with 10 rebounds.

The Keelhaulers return to action tomorrow night against Golden State Baptist.  Tip off is set for 7:30pm.
