(Vallejo, Sept 25, 2007) – Cal Maritime announced a tough rugby schedule with non-league games against National Champions UC Berkeley and Division One team Stanford University.

The Keelhaulers host their first pre-season game against University of San Francisco on Friday Nov 16.

The annual Alumni game will be hosted on Saturday Dec 8, 2007 .

“We've moved the Alumni game to December to use it as an additional pre-season game," said coach Edward Roberts. "We like to challenge ourselves at a level above that which we usually play, hence we are playing Division I teams from Stanford and UC Berkeley”, said coach
Edward Roberts.

The league schedule starts on January 19, 2007 with a trip to Santa Clara University. Next up is San Jose State before the team takes a break from league play to host UC Berkeley.

The main body of the season continues on February 16 with a visit to UC Santa Cruz and continues with games against the other five teams in Northern California Division II. The regular season ends with a visit to University of San Francisco on March 21.

“Every year our league schedule is very challenging. Any team in our league is capable of asking difficult questions of each other. We're looking forward to testing ourselves.”
