(Vallejo, CA. April 1, 2009) – Cal Maritime Rugby team has qualified for the Pacific Coast Play-offs to be played in Bellingham, WA on April 4-5. After an unbeaten league season, Cal Maritime will face Western Oregon University on Saturday in the first round of the four team tournament.

The structure of the play-off tournament is as follows:

Saturday April 4

Game 1 – 12:00pm kick off - Humboldt State v Utah Valley University

Game 2 – 2:00pm kick-off - Cal Maritime v Western Oregon University

Sunday April 5

Game 1 – 11:00am kick off - Losers from Saturday’s games play each other

Game 2 – 1:00pm kick off - Winners from Saturday’s games play each other

Western Washington University is the host and the games will be played at Bellingham Rugby & Polo fields, 7090 Dahlnerg Road, Ferndale, WA, 98248. 

Of the four teams in this tournament, the top three will qualify for the next round of play-off’s which is the Sweet 16.
