Cal Maritime Announces First Ever Alumni Game

(Vallejo, January 18, 2007) – Introducing one of rugby’s great traditions to the school, Cal Maritime will play against their Alumni on Saturday Feb 3 at 3pm. The game to be held at
Bodnar field has been arranged by Erik Forsberg and his team of alumni.

This type of game continues a strong tradition and provides an opportunity for Cal Maritime Rugby Alumni to don their boots and re-live past glories. The Alumni have also agreed to host a dinner for the current team after the game.

“The alumni approached us and asked if they could arrange a game and host the current team to dinner as a way of giving back to Cal Maritime Rugby”, said coach Edward Roberts. “It will be good to see the past players and it is exciting to know that they still feel a strong attachment to their Cal Maritime Rugby experience.”
