Div 2 Game - Cal Maritime 34 v  University of the Pacific 10
A waterlogged field saw many dropped balls and was a challenge to execute
open running rugby. Even so, we scored six tries with Matt Shotwell scoring an
invaluable hat-trick. Other try scorers were Kyle Jones, Michael Schindler and
Alex Harrington. Three conversions from Nate Housman finished off a
competitive game.

I found myself drove down on 99 from the big city of Galt to Stockton. Maritime
traveled to play the University of the Pacific under their night field. Note to both
teams, if it’s raining and you play at night there are other colors besides dark
blue vs black. But this ref did his best to differentiate the players. UOP tried and
played great defense but the boys from Vallejo never gave up.
