the final league
game of the
season, Cal
Maritime scored
twelve tries to
defeat the
University of
San Francisco by
66-5 on Friday
night at Bodnar
Field.
Cal Maritime
started strongly
with two quick
tries from Kirk
Mueller on his
way to a team
record five
tries. Anthony
Burris also
scored three
tries to
increase his
strong try
scoring run in
the last three
games. The rest
of the tries
were scored by
John Skoda, Luis
Navarrete, Eric
Piper and Andrew
Spoonemore.
USF’s only try
was a
controversial
penalty try for
persistent
offside at the
ruck.
The result takes
Cal Maritime to
5-1 for the
season and
confirms their
qualification
for play-off’s.

last home game
for the
Keelhaulers with
the big win.

play-offs and

play”.
The Keelhaulers
now travel to
Utah to play
Utah Valley
State in the
first play-off
game on Friday
April 4, 2008.
