The educational process here at Maritime offers our students a chance to be involved in many educational and leadership activities.  The students in the water polo program are actively involved in many campus-wide groups including senior leadership positions in the Corps of Cadets.

The water polo team is also actively involved in off-campus programs as well.  We have an on-going relationship with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Solano County.  Our students are involved with BBBS events throughout the school year, and the highlight of the year (for both the kids and the students) is our Play Day.  Held on the first Saturday in April, we host the "Bigs" and "Littles" for a day of fun in the pool and gym, and have a BBQ in the afternoon.

The team added a second project this year as we partnered with SafeQuest Solano County.  SafeQuest provides emergency shelter and support to women and children who are victims of domestic violence.  The team held a used clothing drive, and collected two vans full of donations for SafeQuest.  It was the largest amount of material that had ever been donated.
