1-21-06 - Cal Maritime Academy vs. Cal State East Bay

Saturday night the Keelhaulers played at Cal State East Bay.  The game was back and forth in the first half until fatigue played a big factor.  With a minute to go in the half, the Pioneers of Cal State East Bay extended there lead from 4 to 10 to end the half.  In the second half, the Keelhaulers kept it close, but in the end Cal Maritime just didn’t have enough in the tank.  It was a hard fought battle and a strong defensive and rebounding effort as a whole.  The Keelhaulers (2-7 conference and 5-11 overall) were lead by Stacey Sorenson with 19 points and 10 rebounds.  Clarisse Osegueda and Katie Maddox both chipped in 10. 

The Keelhaulers play at home this weekend against Holy Names on Friday night at 5:30 and then step out of conference on Saturday and play Notre Dame de Namur also at home.
