2 Feb 2006 - The
Keelhaulers lost to the Banana Slugs of UC Santa Cruz on
Thursday night. The Slugs came out of the gate shooting
65% for the 1st half. With the halftime deficit at 25,
the Keelhaulers cut the lead in the 2nd half
to 12 with 8 minutes remaining in the game, but just
couldn't get over the hump. In the end, the deficit was
too much, and the Keelhaulers (5-13 overall and 2-9 in
conference) fell to the UC Santa Cruz. The Keelhaulers
were lead by Stacey Sorenson with 25 points and 7
rebounds. Katie Maddox netted 11 and dished out 4
assists. Pascha McAlister led the way on the boards
with 9, 7 of which cam off the offensive glass.
The next game for the Keelhaulers will be Saturday night
at Simpson University in Redding at 5:30 followed by the
men’s game. |
