Keelhaulers Go on Holiday Break

On Dec. 11 the Keelhaulers finished the first half of the season with a loss to Cal Baptist of Riverside.  That puts the Keelhaulers at 2-10 for the season.  Cal Maritime will be off until Dec. 28th when they return to action at Fresno Pacific University.  

Although the Keelhaulers are 2 and 10 they have 3 of the top 5 scores in the Cal Pac Conference.  Lauren Westbrook is leading the way with 15.12 points, Taylor Himmelspach is #2 in scoring (12 .5) and leads the conference in assists per game at 4.33 and Alexsis Brown is ranked 5th in scoring with 10.92 and 2nd in the conference in rebounding at 7.08.

At the Break Cal Maritime will add defensive specialist Keniya Thurman back to the lineup to finish out her Senior Year.  Thurman has played for the Keelhaulers the previous 3 years and has averaged 8.5 points over her career.

The Keelhaulers are at home on January 7th when they open Conference play vs. Bethany University at 5:30pm with the Men’s game to follow at 7:30.
