Thursday 1-04-07

The Keelhaulers earned there first Cal Pac win of the 06-07 season on Thursday against Simpson University in Redding.  Cal Maritime used a very solid defensive effort to earn the victory.  The Keelhaulers took a 16 to 14 lead into the half.  In the second half the Keelhaulers picked up the defensive intensity and forced several key turnovers.  Cal Maritime used the clock well down the stretch with Katie Maddox and Lauren Westbrook hitting key three-pointers with the shot clock running out.  Maritime was lead by Angela Jackson with 15 points and 7 rebounds,  Lauren Westbrook added 14 points and went 3 of 3 from behind the arch. 

The Keelhaulers play Cal Pac leading Menlo College on Saturday at 1:00pm at home.
