After a tough
loss in the quarter finals to Dominican University 3
Keelhaulers were rewarded for the consistent effort
on the floor.
Nakia Watson,
Angela Jackson and
Jessica Cannon
were all named all-conference
honorable mention for the 2006-07 season.
Junior guard
Nakia Watson played finished the season with a
career high of 27 points and 6 rebounds versus Cal
State East Bay in the first round of the Cal Pac
Tournament and followed it up 18 versus Dominican
University in the Quarter Finals. Watson
finished the season averaging 8.8 points, 5.1
rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.
Freshman
forward Angela Jackson finished the season averaging
just under a double-double for the season with 9
points, and 8.8 Rebounds per game. Angela was
a solid defender and great offensive rebounder for
the Keelhaulers this season. Jackson had a
career high of 16 rebounds versus
Freshman
forward Jessica Cannon was also named to the
all-conference honorable mention team this season.
Cannon lead the Keelhaulers in scoring 10 points and
added 5 rebounds per game. She lead Cal
Maritime in charges with 19 in conference play.
The
Keelhaulers finished up the season with a record of
7-22 overall, 4-12 in conference and advance to the
quarter finals in only there 3rd year of collegiate
competition.
