Keelhaulers Kick Off Spring Season

The Cal Maritime Crew team recently began practicing for the spring 2009 sprint season.  With a large number of rowers returning from the fall and some new prospects to fill in the gaps, the Keelhaulers look to have a strong team this spring. 

With spring comes 2000-meter races, and both the men's and women's teams have been working hard, both on land and water, to prepare.  In fact several members will be traveling up to the Golden State Indoor Rowing Championships this coming Saturday, February 7th, to test their mettle against other collegiate rowers in a 2,000-meter ergometer race. 

The main season will kick off with the Davis Invitational on Sunday, March 8th, at the Port of Sacramento.  All supporters are encouraged to come out and cheer on our men and women.
