Cal Maritime senior guard Andrew
Johnson was honored for his
achievement in the classroom and
on the hardwood as he was named
a
Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete
last week. The
award is commonly referred to as
Academic All American status.
Andrew became eligible for the
award as he maintained a grade
point average over 3.5 over the
course of the entire year while
working towards his degree in
International Business &
Logistics
"We are extremely
proud of Andrew and his
accomplishments. He is the
true definition of a
student-athlete. Andy had
an excellent playing career for
us and his contributions this
year in helping our team set the
school record for wins will
always be remembered.
However, more important was his
commitment in the classroom.
It was pleasure to coach him and
have him in our program,"
commented Head Coach Bryan
Rooney.
